Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are looking to continue the spirit of our annual Party 4 A Purpose
by hosting a series of fundraising events to support our resilient beneficiaries

2021 Beneficiaries

Hawai`i Alliance for Community Based Economic Development (HACBED) is a nonprofit intermediary founded on the belief that people and communities “know” and “can.” HACBED works to build the capacity of families and communities so that they have choice and control to push at social, economic, and environmental justice by supporting community-based organizations and other nonprofits through a variety of services and activities including technical assistance, business administration support, collaborative fundraising, board training, organizational alignment, and capacity building.

 

Ho`opulapula Haraguchi Rice Mill (HHRM) is the last and only historic rice mill left in the state of Hawaiʻi, listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places. This multi-generational, family-owned agrarian museum is dedicated to preserving agricultural artifacts some dating back to the 1800s. For over 37 years, HHRM has educated children and adultsacross the state of Hawai`i, Japan, and Australia. Their hope is that through on-going efforts to provide educational tours and classes, they are able to pass along the same gratitude and appreciation for kūpuna, how farmers are still very important for sustainability, and inspire future farmers.

 

Friends of Kauai Fire Department (FKFD) is a non-profit developed to supplement the Kaua`i Fire Department with assistance to provide equipment, supplies, and related training and education regarding fire, ocean and life safety through their “Community Risk Reductions” programs; such as Fall Prevention, Junior Fire Fighter Program, and Hands Only CPR. FKFD’s overarching goal is to serve as a conduit for the Community of Kauai and the Kauai Fire Department in effort to build a safer Kaua`iway you tell your story online can make all the difference.
